With the support of his work colleagues in The Resurgam Trust and his fellow presenters on Lisburn 98FM, Vince spread the word about his fundraising exploits and managed to raise the amazing sum of £1,713.75 for the premature baby charity.

TinyLife is a charity which is very close to my heart as I lost my young nephew, Samuel Stronge, who unfortunately was only with us for a few days,” Vince explained. “TinyLife do some fantastic work and I am also delighted that the Mayor has chosen them as his charity of the year.

“I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me and a special mention must go to Barbara Stronge (Samuel’s mum) and Stephen Stronge (Samuel’s uncle) for their assistance in raising such a large amount of money. It was very special having Samuel’s dad, mum and brothers come and support me on the day.”

TinyLife is Northern Ireland’s premature and vulnerable baby charity. It is dedicated to reducing premature birth, illness, disability and death in babies.

The charity provides families with emotional and practical support and funds vital research. Its services include breast pump loan and hire, parent support groups and a resource and information library.
