Retail jobs saved as Miss Selfridge moves to Moores

Five full and part-time jobs have been safeguarded in Coleraine with the news that Miss Selfridge is re-locating to Moores.

Back in August we brought you the news that Tempest was to close in the Diamond Centre, putting twenty jobs at risk.

Tempest is part of the MRL Group (Menarys) who have gone into a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) and are restructuring their company due to the current difficult economic climate.

The shop will close this Saturday, October 4.

Neville Moore, Managing Director of Ulster Stores, parent company of Moores of Coleraine and the White House Portrush said he was delighted to welcome Miss Selfridge to Moores: “We were saddened by the news that Tempest was closing its Coleraine operation.

“The store played an important part in the retail offering available to shoppers here and we’re delighted that Miss Selfridge is able to keep a presence in the town.

“Over the past two years Ulster Stores has continued to invest in Moores introducing new brands and innovations across its café, fashion areas and beauty departments.

“We remain wholly committed to serving shoppers in Coleraine and are pleased to have been able to, not only offer a home to Miss Selfridge, but also help retain local jobs within the area.”
