Returned for trial on drug charges

A CRAIGAVON man has been returned for trial to Craigavon Crown Court on a number of drug charges.

Stephen John McCann (22), of Moyraverty Court is charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a Class B controlled drug, namely cannabis resin.

He is also charged with possession of a Class C drug, namely trifluoromethylphenylpiperazine.

McCann was also charged with possession of trifluoromethylphenylpiperazine with intent to supply, possession of the Class C drug benzylpiperazine and with possession with intent to supply that drug.

The defendant also faces charges of unlawful possession of herbal cannabis and with possession with intent to supply herbal cannabis.

McCann was further charged with possession of Class A drug Ecstasy with intent to supply and a count of possession of the drug.

There were further charges of possession of cannabis resin (two charges in total) and possession with intent to supply.

McCann was granted bail and returned for trial to Craigavon Crown Court on November 18.
