Reunion for Ben Sherman workers

Workers of the recently closed Ben Sherman factory in Lurgan are having a reunion this weekend.

Hundreds of local people worked at the factory over the decades.

The factory, which made shirts and other garments for the international firm, opened in September 1993 but was closed last May.

The organiser of the reunion said: “A lot of people in Lurgan and beyond worked for the company and were very loyal employees,

“Indeed the factory clothed most of Lurgan during the 90s,” she said.

“It was very sad to see it ending. It was great times with great people,” she added.

The reunion is in JPs Lurgan this Saturday night at 8pm to late.

There is an admission fee of £2,

Everyone is invited.
