Reunion for Skelton Travel community

The hardy bunch who braved the elements for three nights to get their tickets for the Garth Brooks concert in Croke Park are planning to have a reunion.

They’ve billed it as the ‘Skelton Travel Lurgan Family Reunion’ and it will take place on Friday, April 4, at the Stables at 7.30pm.

On that night a charity function is taking place featuring Garth Brooks tribute act Johnny Brooks.

There will also be a raffle for two tickets to see the American country singer on Friday, June 25 in Croke Park.

All money raised will go towards the Mandeville Unit.

Commenting after the three night ‘sit-out’, Graeme Lennon, who started the queue along with his friend Dwain Toland, said: “It was fantastic how everyone came together.

“It was an experience I won’t forget and it’ll be great to meet up with everyone again at the reunion night in aid of charity.”
