‘Revitalise’ scheme could be extended to spruce up Portrush
THE Revitalise scheme which spruced up Portrush town centre this summer could be extended and offered to Coleraine and Portstewart.
At Tuesday’s meeting of Coleraine Borough Council, Head of Development Services Moira Mann told councillors that talks were being held with the Department for Social Development on the possibility of an extension to the Portrush scheme and the prospect of new schemes for Portstewart and Coleraine in 2013 - 2014.
“Council officers will engage with traders in the respective towns to assess interest and to work up applications for a potential Revitalise programme in the hope that funding will be available,” she said.
