Rising Magherafelt artist to exhibit in Limavady

Margey’s latest body of work depicts some of the North West’s most iconic landmarks and landscapes in a range of contemporary and more traditional styles.

Adrian who recently received a doctorate from Queen’s University Belfast for his research into the concept of entrepreneurship in the creative industries has had a busy couple of years since his last showing in Limavady back in 2012.

Beneveagh Mountain, Benone Strand and the Dogleap Bridge are just some of the local beauty spots that Margey has captured in his bold, contemporary style for this weekend’s exhibition at the Roe Park Resort. Exciting interpretations of Dungiven Castle, Mussenden Temple, The Guildhall and The Peace Bridge make this a must-see exhibition for art lovers in the North West.

A series of Margey’s Irish traditional musician pieces and dancing scenes inject added energy and dynamism into this latest collection of work.

He uses a range of techniques to create his distinctive work. These involve a combination of finger painting, lazy brushwork, use of palette knife and the application of paint directly from tube to canvas to build up textures.

“I am delighted to be returning to the Roe Park Resort with my latest collection this weekend. I hope visitors enjoy the diversity of subject matter on view, especially the contemporary takes on familiar local landmarks,” he said.

The exhibition opens at the Radisson Roe Park Resort Limavady on the evening of Friday 22nd August from 6pm to 9pm and continues Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August 11am – 8pm and Monday 25th: 11am – 6pm.
