With the help of a host of country stars including Hugo Duncan, Johnny Brady and Country Harmony, Lisa launched her Gerald Dornan produced 14-track album at the Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown.

Lisa from the Carrickmore area has all the attributes associated with success, she has the voice, the talent, the knack of picking a good country song adding her own unique twist and of course a key component, personality.

It comes as no surprise then that Lisa, who is excited about her new album recorded at Hillside studios, makes no secret that she has been influenced by the Queen of Irish country Philomena Begley.

When you see and hear this young lady you will agree that some of that Tyrone country charm has rubbed off.

Fresh from her own local dates, Lisa has also enjoyed being a guest with the likes of Johnny Brady, Mike Denver, Hugo Duncan, Gene Stuart, Paul Kelly, Philomena Begley herself and also enjoyed a stint on the Dominic Kirwan – Mary Duff tour this year. She has plans for a host of dates and more guest spots before the end of the year.

Her debut single ‘I just want to be a Country Girl’ was quickly followed by the old Larry Cunningham classic “Good old country music” and most recently “Lord of the Dance” - all three have received lots of airplay and plenty of exposure too on all the satellite TV shows, Phil Mack, Keltic Country, Hot Country and Irish TV to name a few. Its been a whirlwind and it’s all about to get bigger with this debut album launch.

Speaking this week ahead of the launch night Lisa said she was excited: “I have been looking forward to this album for a long time, it will be a real dream come true for me but it would not have been possible without the support of my family.”

Plans are in place too for a new band and Lisa hopes to take her own show on the road in the new year. It’s been an exciting journey so far but the road ahead for this “new sound in country” is certainly opening up.
