RNIB seeking Lisburn volunteers

DO you have a spare few hours each week to help local blind people in your area? If so, the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) would like you to get in touch.

RNIB, the UK’s leading sight loss charity, is looking for volunteers to help them raise funds by placing RNIB’s iconic Sooty Boxes in shops, pubs and leisure centres. All funds raised will help the charity to provide vital services to local blind and partially sighted adults and children.

Whether you’re retired or looking for new challenge, the charity would love to hear from you. You would be part of an outgoing and fun team with the opportunity to meet new people and to make a lasting difference to your community.

Sara-Jane Woods, Head of Community Partnerships at RNIB said: “Volunteers are the lifeblood of our charity and we are always looking for more people to join us.

“If you are friendly and outgoing and an enthusiastic attitude and are willing to learn, we can offer you full training and you’ll be secure in the knowledge that you’ll be making a difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted adults and children in your area.” If you’re over 18 and interested to find out more, please email [email protected] or phone 01480 355596.
