RNLI boosted by 30k

The RNLI has said a big thank-you this week to Victoria Square in Belfast after the shopping centre raised a whopping £30,000 over the course of a year, to help the charity continue to save lives at sea.

Amongst the highlights of the charity’s partnership with Victoria Square was the Portrush RNLI Raft Race challenge last April. A man made desert island was built in the shopping centre, which was only accessible by raft. Over the course of a week, a host of special guests were dared by the public to carry out tasks which raised £5,000 for the RNLI.
