Speaking about the work, Translink NI Railways Route Manager, Frank Moore, said: “These road closures are essential in order to facilitate re-railing of the track.

“It will also mean some changes to local bus services due to road conditions during the work. Therefore, we would advise passengers travelling during this period to leave extra time for their journey.

“On August 21, Ulsterbus service 134 will operate via Binevenagh Road throughout the day and also on the 6.40am service on August 22. Service 134 will also operate via the Limestone Road on August 29.

“On August 21 & 29, Ulsterbus service 734 will operate via Castlerock and the Mountain Road. There will also be a dedicated shuttle bus service from Bellarena Train Station to Limavady Buscentre where passengers can connect with bus services 734, 234, 143 and 144.
