A public prosecutor said that a woman was driving in Church Place, Lurgan, when a car pulled across her without signalling.

She sounded her horn and the defendant stopped his car and got out.

He then banged at the driver’s side window of her car and shouted at her.

The injured party felt scared and intimidated.

Doyle tried to open her door but it was locked. When a member of the public asked him to move his car she drove around his car when he was distracted.

Deputy District Judge Joe Rice said it was an example of road rage.

Mr Peter Murphy, representing the defendant, said his client was coming out of North Street and had the right of way.

Telling Doyle he needed to be very careful with his temper Judge Rice fined him £250 and ordered to pay him a £15 offender’s levy.
