Road safety advice for Ballywillan

NEIGHBOURHOOD constables Lisa Stewart and James Mullan recently visited Ballywillan Girls' Brigade Explorers to give advice on road safety.

The officers explained the value of wearing something bright and reflective at night and the importance of using booster seats and wearing a seatbelt when travelling in a car.

The children were also given the opportunity to see a police bicycle and a police car at first hand.

In an effort to reinforce the road safety message the officers have also urged parents to set a good example to their children by making sure everyone travelling in the car wears their seatbelt no matter how short the journey.
