Road set to close for maintenance

A section of a main arterial route is set to be closed to traffic in Carrick tomorrow.

Detailing the planned closure in a post on the PSNI Carrickfergus Facebook page, a police spokesperson said: “Due to essential maintenance, a small section of the Marine Highway will be closed this Wednesday evening (November 9). The road will be closed between the traffic lights at Joymount Link and the Taylor’s Avenue junction. To facilitate traffic there will be a short diversion in place along Joymount and Scotch Quarter.”

The Times understands the section of road will be closed to traffic from 6:30pm until 1:30am on Thursday, November 10.
