Road upgrade
PROPOSALS to improve the layout at the junction of Plantation Road and the Calvertstown Road has been welcomed.
Sinn Fein’s Cllr Mark O’Dowd said: “The junction, which is close to the brow of a hill, has always been a motorist’s nightmare and has been the scene of numerous accidents over the years.
“Both exiting and entering the Calvertstown Road has always been particularly difficult.
“The news that steps are under way to improve safety at this location is to be welcomed.”
