“There have been ongoing problems with the sight lines at the junction of Park Street and the Dromore Road,” explained Mr Redpath.

“Cars exiting Park Street have to pull out a long way into the Dromore Road before they can see if the road is clear in both directions. This has obvious safety implications.

“I was approached by a number of residents who live on Park Street about this issue.

“Park Street has a very high volume of traffic given the location of the park and the tennis club so it is particularly important that this issue is addressed.

“Another issue raised by residents is the 30 mile an hour speed limit. The area is very built up with properties fronting the street. Some residents voiced concerns about the speed of traffic going up and down the street.

These concerns will be considered by Road Service alongside the issue of the sight lines.

“I would like to thank Road Service for arranging this site visit and giving their time to consider resident’s concerns.

“I hope we will have a proposed resolution to this issue in the near future.”
