Roads treacherous and schools forced to close
A number of schools were closed this morning due to the adverse weather in the Lurgan and Craigavon area.
Roads were treacherous and many workers also had difficulty in getting to work after several inches of snow fell overnight.
Schools that closed are: St Francis’ Primary School, Lurgan; Carrick Primary School, Lurgan; St Michael’s Grammar School, Lurgan; Saint Anthony’s PS, Craigavon; St. Brendan’s PS, Craigavon; Donacloney Primary School, Craigavon; Brookfield Special School, Moira and Lurgan Junior High School.
