Robert Orr from Ballymena recently claimed the runner up prize in a Translink NI Railways Level Crossing Safety Awareness challenge at CAFRE, Greenmount Campus, Antrim. The Safety Challenge was run as part of the induction programme for first year Further Education Agriculture and Land Based Technology students who may not have travelled by train or worked near railway tracks before and overall winner was George Porter from Mountnorris, while third place was awarded to Steven Hamilton of Rathfriland.
Robert said, The Translink presentation was a real eye opener into the potential consequences if you misuse a railway crossing.
