Robinson praises Campbell on election victory

LIMAVADY Deputy Mayor, Ald George Robinson, has congratulated Gregory Campbell MP on his emphatic victory in last week's election.

Alderman Robinson said: "Gregory's re-election was the result of much hard work on his part over the nine years he has been our MP and the electorate recognised that. I am delighted that Gregory has secured a third term as our MP and I look forward to continuing working with him as part of the DUP's East Londonderry team. We are fortunate to have such a conscientious and dedicated MP"

"In all the years of service to our constituency Gregory has been selfless in his representation – and his voice is one that is listened to at the very highest levels of Westminster. When Gregory Campbell speaks Prime Ministers listen."

He added: "There was also the energetic, dedicated and willing canvass team, who spent the most of four weeks speaking to as many people as possible on the doorsteps of the East Londonderry constituency.. It is difficult to underestimate the important role they played in delivering our positive message and the people responded to that message in the ballot box securing Gregory's re-election."
