Rockmount golfers get on their bike for charity

On a cold and damp Sunday morning (12th April), 33 hardy souls took to their bikes and made their way from Rockmount to Newcastle to raise funds for ‘The Friends of the Cancer Centre’.

This was organised by the Captains, Eddie Donaldson and Margaret Harrison and is the second time that the members have done this to raise money for worthy causes.

A big thank you to Eddie’s family and also fellow Rockmount members for their support in organising the Cycle Ride.

A special thanks goes to the Mourne Golf Club for allowing everyone to use their clubhouse and facilities after the Cycle Ride. It was certainly much appreciated by the cyclists after their 24 mile ride in the cold and damp conditions.
