Roddensvale Head’s cycling challenge

The Principal of Roddensvale School will attempt to set a new cycling record at Manchester Velodrome in order to raise money for the school.

Mr John Madden, who has been dubbed “Roddensvale’s answer to Chris Hoy,” will attempt to set a new Irish Masters record for his age class by cycling over 45km in one hour on October 4.

Mr Madden is combining his love of cycling with his work for the school.

Fundraising provides extras to enhance Roddensvale pupils’ lives such as Zumba lessons, redesigning the sensory garden areas and buying specialised sensory equipment such as cocoon swings. All money donated will be spent on the pupils.
