Rodney Quigley set to be independent council candidate

Community activist Rodney Quigley is to stand as an independent candidate in the forthcoming elections to the Mid and East Council.

A Ballymena man born and bred, he is married with two grown-up sons and has been employed in the Michelin factory for the past 30 years.

He is a life long member of the Orange Institution, chairman of Ballykeel Loyal Sons Of Ulster Flute Band and current chair of the Ballymena Bands Forum. He is also a long standing member of St Patrick’s Church Lads Brigade.

For the past ten years Rodney has been involved in community development as part of the Harryville Partnership Initiative team. He sits as an independent member of the Ballymena Policing and Community Safety Partnership.
