Rosemount reunion planned

A ROSEMOUNT resident has called on people who lived in the area during the 1950s to come along to a special reunion in Da Vinci’s Hotel on April 19.

Brigetta Duffy née Harkin said the event was specifically aimed at people who lived in the Oakfield and Marlborough areas.

“The area back then was very mixed and no-one ever made any difference,” she told the Sentinel.

“A few of us have organised a reunion for people who lived in the area and who maybe moved away.”

She said that whilst the people organising the event all grew up there around the 1950s, anyone who lived in the area would be very welcome to attend.

She asked people to bring along any old photographs they might have. The event takes place in Da Vinci’s on April 19 at 8pm.

Tickets are £20, which will include a meal and entertainment. Anyone interested in attending contact: [email protected]
