THE chemist on rota duty this Sunday in Ballycastle is JA McMichael, 10 Ann Street, who will be open for urgent prescriptions from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

Officer Training

Ballymoney Community Resource Centre are hosting a Designated Officer for Child Protection Training Course on Wednesday 7th November from 1.30-4.30pm at our offices Unit 22 & 23 Acorn Business Centre, Ballymoney.

This is an important course for anyone who is the Designated Officer for Child Protection in their voluntary group or organisation. Derrykeighan Community Association Youth club will recommence on Friday 9th November, 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is £1 with tuck shop available. All P1 to Year 11 welcome.

Shopping trip

Derrykeighan Community Association are holding their annual bus trip to Belfast on Saturday 24th November.

McMillen Transport coach will leave the hall at 8.30 a.m. sharp and will leave Belfast at 4.30 p.m. Cost remains £10 – much cheaper than fuel & parking costs so why not come along and enjoy the Christmas markets!!

Dervock seniors trip to Lisburn

Dervock and District Senior Citizens (Oak-Leaf club) are taking a coach to Lisburn on Saturday 10th November.

It will be leaving the ‘Market House’ (Old Co-op), Dervock at approximately 9am (morning), returning from Lisburn at 5.00pm (arriving in Dervock – 6.00pm). The trip will be subsidised by Dervock & District Community Association; therefore travel costs will be £5 per person.

Trailer Marking event

PROTECT your home and farm and machinery from criminals by going along to a ‘Trailer Marking Day’ at the Vale Centre, Knock Road, Dervock, on Saturday November 17 (10am-2pm).

There is free trailer marking so bring along your car trailers, horse boxes, cattle trailers, etc and have them securely marked by the PSNI. You can also get advice from the PSNI and sign up to their Rural Text Alert Scheme.
