THE chemist on rota duty this Sunday in Ballycastle is Castle Pharmacy, 39 Castle Street, who will be open for urgent prescriptions from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

Cloughmills Community Action Team are due to hold their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 6th September at 8.00p.m. in Cloughmills Community Centre, 7 Culcrum Road.

The public welcome to come and review the work done over the last year.

Castle AGM

Castle Community Association & Castle Youth Group would like to invite all residents of the Castle Area to attend their Annual General Meeting.

It has been rescheduled and will now be held on Tuesday 2nd October at 7pm in the Community Centre. All nominations for new Committee Members must be submitted in writing to Castle Community association 7 working days prior to the meeting.

Art display at

Giant’s Causeway

A MAJOR display of art has been unveiled at the Giant’s Causeway by an internationally acclaimed artist as part of the London 2012 Festival and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board’s ni2012: our time, our place campaign.

FLAGS, an installation by German artist Hans Peter Kuhn, has been embedded temporarily in the dramatic landscape of the Giant’s Causeway, until November 4, creating a new visitor experience within this unique natural phenomenon. Mr. Kuhn was present for the occasion to meet the public and representatives of the media.

Carnany AGM

Carnany Community Association would like to invite all residents of Carnany Estate to attend their Annual General Meeting, which will be held on Monday 24th September 2012 at 7pm in the Community House.

All nominations for new Committee Members must be submitted in writing to Carnany Community association 7 working days prior to the meeting.

STRANOCUM and District Community Association are holding their annual AGM this Wednesday, September 5 at 8pm. All residents of the Stranocum area are invited to attend.

Police street brief

Ballycastle Police will be holding a street brief on Thursday 6th September between 10am and 12mid-day in the car park at the Spar on Moyle Road. Everyone is welcome.

Arthritis Care thank public

SIR - Arthritis Care Ballymoney Branch would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us very generously.

In particular we would like to acknowledge ASDA in Coleraine for making our collection day possible and for everyone who helped on Friday 24 August.

Many thanks to all who donated and to all who gave there time to hep collect.

The total raised was excellent, a grand total of £841.50.

Gloster Canary Club

The Northern Ireland Gloster Canary Club is holding a special meeting on Monday night, 10th September in the British Legion Clubrooms at 8.15pm sharp.

Various items are up for discussion including the forthcoming Sales Day in Ballymoney on Saurday 22nd September and the Open Show on Saturday 13th October.

This will be the inaugral show of the new Gloster Canary stakes.

A good attendance is requested at all gatherings.
