Rotary's charity breakfast will aid PIPS

The Rotary Club of Larne will be holding its annual charity breakfast on March 23, in Larne Town Hall from 7.45am to 9.00am.

The cost will be £12.00 which includes a raffle. Proceeds will benefit PIPS ((Public Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide and Self Harm) and Rotary charities.

Payment can be made at the door. A continental-style breakfast will be served.

The guest speaker will be a former BBC journalist Don Anderson who will give an overview of his career.

His talk will be entitled “It’s a Funny Old World”. Don has also been editor and programme controller of Downtown Radio, head of BBC Radio NI and helped to set up Radio Foyle.

Don has also written a thriller set in Donegal, ‘A History of UTV’, and a ‘History of the UWC Strike 1974’.
