Royal Oak fundraiser

A CHARITY cycle from Carrick to Carnfunnock will be held on Sunday 4 September.

The fundraising initiative, organised through the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and hosted by the Royal Oak bar, is in aid of Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke and will also include a family walk and barbecue.

Cycle registration (£10) is at 11am and there is the option of a 20 mile one way or 40 mile return trip.

Registration (£10/family) for the Family Superhero 2 Mile Walk and Treasure Hunt is at 2.00pm. Dressing up as a superhero is optional, but it might help you walk faster and find clues quicker!

The barbecue and family entertainment will run from 2.00pm to 6.00pm at the Royal Oak.
