Rural group to hold volunteer driver recruitment day

Down Armagh Rural Transport (DART) is recruiting volunteers from the over 60 age group to be trained as volunteer drivers to help make a real difference to the lives of the most vulnerable in our society.

In addition to receiving free accredited driver training and out-of-pocket expenses including mileage, ICONNECT scheme participants will join an award-winning team of community transport drivers who provide over 4,000 passenger trips per month to people with disabilities and older persons deemed to be at risk.

DART is running an open recruitment day on Wednesday (September 25) from 10am to 2pm at the Jethro Centre, Lurgan, for new volunteers interested in joining the DART volunteer team.
