An investigating officer told Londonderry Magistrate’s Court how he believed he could connect Magee to the charges.

Defence Counsel, Eoghan Devlin, confirmed that the case involved allegations of domestic violence and would require a full file.

Londonderry Magistrates’ Court also heard that a withdrawal statement ‘may be forthcoming’ from the alleged injured party.

Mr Magee won over £6 million in the Euromillions back lottery in 2008.

In 2009 Magee was named as one of the 100 richest young people in the UK, at level pegging with top sports stars including golfer Graeme McDowell and footballer Robinho.
