Sad departing of Banbridge lady

Banbridge lady Marie Mitchell (pictured) passed away on January 2.

She was the dearly loved wife of the late Billy Mitchell, who predeceased her 13 years ago.

Formerly Marie Cochrane, whose father and mother were David and Eva Cochrane, she was a woman of a cheery and friendly disposition and was the mother of David and Caroline.

She sustained a great loss in her son Samuel John who passed away a short time after he was born.

Marie worked in Fergusons Edenderry Factory for a long number of years.

She enjoyed the friendly game of indoor bowls, as well as the Wednesday Lunch Club.

Marie was a regular attender, while health permitted, at Holy Trinity Parish Church but her main interest was centred around her home and family and it is there that her passing will be mostly felt.
