Sad farewell to Cookstown’s alcohol and drugs workers

An event has been held to mark the work of Eugene O’Goan and Martin McCann who are leaving after more than an decade of service to TIPSA - the Alcohol and Drugs Education project covering the Mid-Ulster area.

Local DUP MLA Ian McCrea said while he was delighted to attend the event to say goodbye to the men, it was tinged with sadness as Eugene and Martin had given dedicated service.

TIPSA which was established in 2003 and works with communities to provide education and prevention services. They also work with youth groups, community groups, parents, carers, adults, sports clubs and more, and can also provide one to one education work. Mr McCrea added that they would be missed and wished them well for the future.
