Safe stolen in Kells burglary

It has emerged that burglars stole a safe and its contents from a house in Kells during a break-in.

Police in Ballymena are investigating the burglary which happened in the Fernisky Terrace area of Kells overnight between Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September.

Constable Rhonda Nimick said: “It is thought that entry was gained by removing a window of the house. A safe was then taken during the burglary.”

The officer continued: “We would like to speak with anyone who may have saw suspicious activity in the area in the days leading up to the burglary or across Wednesday night and into the early hours of Thursday.
