Safety concerns as Lurgan roundabout disappears

Sinn Fein Cllr Keith Haughian said he had been contacted by a number of residents regarding the ‘disappearance’ of the mini-roundabout at the junction of Lake St, North St and the Antrim Road.

He plans to write to Roads Service regarding a number of Road Safety issues in North Lurgan. Cllr Haughian said he had complaints about safety due to some motorists speeding in the residential area.

“It seems over time the paint has lifted and measures haven’t been taken to re-paint the road marking. This is causing confusion for some drivers and causes a potential danger. This junction has been the site of accidents over the years and I would call on the Roads Service to take action.”
