Speaking at the cheque presentation at the charity’s headquarters within the grounds of Carrickfergus Sailing Club, DSD Financial Management branch employee Donna Henderson said that the idea germinated from a volunteering visit to BLS in the summer as part of the Business in the Community scheme.

During the project the volunteers undertook maintenance work, and assisted a group visit from Mitchell House School, Holywood.
