Sale to aid Victoria Hall project
A SALE aimed at raising funds for the restoration of Larne's Victoria Hall falls on the 110th anniversary of the building's official opening.
Col McCalmont, MP and Worshipful Master of the Larne District Lodge, declared the Orange hall open on Easter Tuesday in 1900.
Easter was earlier this year, but on the anniversary date – Saturday, April 17 – the Victoria Hall committee will hold a car boot sale (indoors) between 2.00-5.00pm. The charge to vendors is 5 per table and setting-up is between 11.00am-1.00pm. Enquiries should be directed to Doreen at 2827 7193, or Lillian at 2827 2954.
