Salmon and Whiskey Festival this weekend

The organisers have come up with a packed programme of events for this year’s Festival.

Beginning on Friday (September 20) and running until Sunday (September 22), there is a huge range of events, talks, tours, cookery demonstrations, music, classes, Festival Bake Off, tastings, open churches, Bushmills Distillery and Salmon Fisheries open days and much much more.

There will also be a fantastic funfair - featuring modern and traditional rides - in operation during the weekend.

And, the organisers are delighted to announce that the Festival will also feature a spectacular fireworks display at 10pm on the Saturday evening, Viewing from the Bushmills Inn car park.

“Last year’s Festival attracted huge crowds to the village which is exactly what the traders wanted to see,” said one of the organisers.

“There was a real buzz throughout the whole village and that’s what we want this year.”
