Samaritans’ abseil postponed

THE sponsored abseil to raise funds for the Ballymena Branch of Samaritans has had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Ballymena Samaritans have apologised for the postponement of the event which will now be held in February 2013 (date to be confirmed).

A spokesperson said: “Samaritans would like to thank everyone who has agreed to transfer their support to the event in February and would like to encourage anyone else interested in getting sponsored to take part in the abseil to get in touch via e-mail to [email protected] or keep up to date with what is happening in the Ballymena branch by visiting the facebook page www.facebook.com/SamaritansBallymena

“If you would be interested in taking part in another sponsored event please consider volunteering for the FIREWALK which Ballymena Samaritans will be hosting on Saturday, November 10, at the “Big House”, Crankill Road in Ballymena. Contact [email protected] for more details.

“It is hoped that volunteers and supporters from each branch in Northern Ireland and some from the branches in the Republic will come together at the event. It should be a great night and everyone is welcome whether you are doing the firewalk or not.”
