Samaritans vigil

COLERAINE and District Samaritans will hold their annual vigil in Coleraine this Friday and Saturday.

The event aims to raise awareness of the work done by the local branch.

Samaritans provide confidential emotional support 24 hours a day for those who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair including those that lead to suicide.

The Christmas Vigil is also an opportunity for Coleraine Samaritans to raise funds to help the running of the branch.

It takes £30,000 each year to fund the local branch and monies comes solely from the committed and invaluable dedication of volunteers through street collections and other activities.

Coleraine Samaritans on the Lodge Road will be open over the festive period and the Branch wishes to thank all who have helped and supported them throughout the year.
