Same sex marriage motion
A notice of motion calling on Causeway Coast and Glens Council to support same sex marriage has been referred to next month’s Corporate Policy and Resources meeting.
Sinn Fein Councillor Tony McCaul brought the notice to Tuesday night’s council meeting at Cloonavin.
The motions states: “That this council believes that all couples, including those of the same sex, should have the right to marry in the eyes of the law.”
It was seconded by Cllr Brenda Chivers and will now be heard at the meeting on August 18.
