Santa Dash at Wallace Park

Once again, a festive, family fun orientated Santa Dash will take place on Saturday, December 6 at 9.30am in Wallace Park.

This event is being organised by Lisburn City Council Leisure Services Department.

The cost to participate is £5, which includes receiving your very own Santa Suit to keep and to ensure you are festively dressed on the day. A donation from each entry will be made to the Mayor’s Charity.

Registration must be organised before this event itself, and you can register for the Santa Dash from Monday November 24 at Lagan Valley Island’s Leisure Services Reception.

Alderman Paul Porter, Chairman of the Council’s Leisure Services Committee, said: “The festive season would not be complete without Santa and we hope to see many Santas’ in Wallace Park running a few laps. All budding Santa-styled runners or joggers are encouraged to come along

“The event was a great success last year and the Council is looking forward to seeing more Santas of all ages taking part this year.

“Please spread the word and tell all your friends to join in.

“ It doesn’t matter if you’re a potential Olympian or a closet couch potato there are one, two and three mile routes.

“It’s all about welcoming Christmas and doing your bit for a worthy charity at the same time,” he said.
