‘Save Kells Library’ campaign turns over another page

A series of events to strengthen the ongoing campaign to “Save Kells Library” continued on Saturday past with a ‘Big Issue Day’.

Running from 11am-12noon, members were encouraged by campaigners to borrow their maximum limit of 12 books.

This will be followed up on Saturday, March 26, from 10am-2.30pm when guest Dessie Blackadder will help you look through past census documents and other archives to help you trace your ancestors at “Who does Kells & Connor think it is? – “explore the past of your recent ancestors”.

The campaign will continue on Saturday, April 16, with a “Clear the Shelves Day” from 11am-12noon when there will be the chance to unite old & new members and maximise the number of books borrowed.
