Scally Rally Night in aid of Macmillan

FIVE local ladies are seeking the support of Ballymena folk for their forthcoming 'Scally Rally Night' in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

All proceeds from the fundraising event, which will be held in Clough Glasgow Rangers Supporters Club on September 18, will be used locally in the new Palliative Care Centre, currently being built at Antrim Area Hospital.

Friends, Carolyn Brown, Heather Carson, Carole Kirk, Josie McDowell and Yvonne Rock, are planning various forms of fund raising as part of the night which will include a dance, raffle and a competition to ‘guess the number of balloons inside a transit van’.

The van will also be used by a group of local men who are also fundraising by participating in the Scally Rally later in October - driving from Belfast to Kinsale over the course of four days.
