Scenes from the Wave on the Walls

On Sunday hundreds of participants took part in the ‘Wave on the Walls’ to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the building of the city walls.

This short video captures some of the atmosphere and scenes from Guildhall Square, the walled walk at Magazine Street, participants at Walker’s Monument and outside the Church Bastion near St Columb’s Cathedral.

In addition to people in period costume, the event was attended by the Mayor of Londonderry, Martin Reilly, the Deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness, and the Dean of Derry, Very Rev Dr William Morton.
