School girl donates hair

A young school girl has had her cair cut for the Little Princess Trust charity.

Reina Jamison, 7, a primary three pupil at St Colman’s primary school, Lambeg not only donated eight inches off her hair but also raised over £200 for Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.

Reina decided to take up the challenge in memory of her cousin Briagh Hull, who lost her battle with a brain tumour in June 2011.

Reina’s mum Andrea said: “We, her parent’s and her brother Logan, are very proud of our daughter Reina as she loved her long hair.

“Reina wanted to donate her hair to the poor little children who have lost their hair through illness.”

“She was glad to be able to help others.”
