“Supported by Derry City Council, the initiative which has been in place for the last 11 years has done fantastic work in raising public awareness and fostering civic pride in our surroundings.

“I would like to thank the pupils and teachers of all the participating schools who have gone to great efforts to produce these beautiful planters which will be enjoyed by users of our Riverfront this summer.”

The success of the campaign has been replicated in the number of accolades the city has received over the past number of years including Ulster In Bloom, Britain in Bloom, Co-operation Ireland Pride of Place, Best Kept Awards, and Garden Show Ireland awards.
