In all £134 million is to be distributed to 52 schools across Northern Ireland as part of the school enhancement programme, which was established in January last year to enable the refurbishment or extension of school buildings.

Also getting a slice of the money is St Columb’s College in the Cityside.

The investment will ensure the schools benefit from refurbishment or extension projects, each valued between £500,000 and £4 million and was welcomed by the Minister for Education.
