Scrambling track discussions taking place in Armoy

A report prepared for Moyle Council regarding the plans by Armoy Motorcycle Road Racing Club, said: ‘Further to last month’s meeting and correspondence received from the above group regarding the possibility of leasing land at Limepark Armoy for the purpose of organised Scrambling events, as Members are aware an area of Lime Park is currently leased to Armoy Rugby Club.

‘A meeting has been facilitated by Council’s Recreation Department between the two parties to investigate the possibility of adapting the lease and site map to suit both parties.

‘The meeting was very constructive, a lot of issues were discussed, and a proposed map was agreed initially subject to being ratified by the Rugby Club Committee. Armoy R.F.C will report back to Council regarding their decision after their April Meeting,’ said the Council report.
