Seafarerssought for Irish Seavoyage

Young Londonderry sailors are being invited to apply for a chance to sail between Dublin and Down later this month with five berths available on a Loughs Agency sponsored boat that will be making the trip.

Kevin Wilson, Director of Development at Loughs Agency said: “This is an amazing opportunity for young people to have unique sailing experience in the Irish Sea.

“We hope that the participants will be inspired by the trip and perhaps go on to join a local sailing club and take it up as a recreational hobby.”

Loughs Agency are offering five people the opportunity to sail between Dun Laoghaire and Carlingford Lough from Monday, May 18 to Friday, May 22. Participants must be aged 18-24 and due to the nature of the activity, able bodied and prepared to sleep in a relatively small space with limited washing facilities.

If you or anyone you know might be interested please complete the expression of interest form which can be found in the news section on our website (www.loughs-agency.org) and return it to [email protected] by 2pm on Tuesday, May 12.

Successful applicants will be notified in the afternoon of May 12.
