Seagate received£158m in grants

Seagate has been offered £175m in grant assistance and has received £158m of this since 1992, the Trade Minister Arlene Foster has revealed.

She was asked by Alliance MLA Trevor Lunn for the total of grant assistance received by all Seagate plants, including those which are now closed.

She replied: “Since 1992/93 Seagate in Northern Ireland has been offered a total of c£175 million in grant assistance of which c£158 million has been paid to the company to date.”
