Sean’s comedy single tops music charts

As his alter-ego Rodney, Sean recorded ‘Have a Jeepers Creepers Christmas’ with all funds raised going to a Belfast homeless charity.

Speaking to the ‘MAIL’ Sean (32) said he was delighted the single was going to well.

The cash raised is set to go to Hope Outreach for the Homeless.

Sean explained that volunteers from the charity go out with sleeping bags for homeless people in Belfast and spend time talking to them.

“They are like social workers and they are doing a fantastic job,” said the former Lismore pupil.

The idea to record a Christmas tune was sparked because he loves the festive season and particularly Christmas music.

“I always put my tree up on November 25 and listen to the Christmas hits. I started thinking about family and home and sort of thought it would be a funny thing to do,” said Sean.

“There are not that many Christmas songs coming out these days. I thought of Holly Jolly Christmas and thought I would combine it with my catch phrase Jeepers Creepers and just came up with have a Jeepers Creepers Christmas,” he said.

Sean, who has three young children, Paul (11), Charlie (8) and James (6), is thrilled the song is top of the Shazam Charts.

The 32-year-old is to return to his roots at Lismore Comprehensive in the new year as part of a Cyber Awareness tour, teaching children the dangers of the internet and how to be careful, with a bit of comedy thrown in.

Sean is also on tour with his one man show will be appearing at the Corner House soon.
